Brooks-DeHart Launches Unique Technology

October 10, 2019 - Furniture Today - NEWTON, N.C. – Specialized furniture carrier Brooks-DeHart Furniture Express is rolling out proprietary technology that allows scanning of shipments upon delivery and sending of immediate notifications to customers. According to the company, that’s a first among specialized carriers. The technology took 18 months for development.

“This allows our customers to have notification the minute their freight is delivered, (proofs of delivery) available instantaneously and immediate online tracking updates,” said Brooks-DeHart Owner Anthony Brooks in a release. “You are able to see the Proof of Delivery instantly on our website or app, which you can download on Google Play or Apple App Store anytime.”

The app is free to customers and has the same privileges as the Brooks-DeHart website.

“We also have the capability to text you a link notification or email you the delivery notification along with the proof of delivery,” Brooks said. “We can now give you full transparency from the time of pickup, all the way through to delivery.”

Users of the technology, which has 24-hour access and is accessed by username and password, don’t need to call the carrier or their receiver to see if a shipment has arrived.

“And if you are so busy you don’t even have time to log in, get an e-mail sent automatically to you,” Brooks added. For text or e-mail delivery notifications, users may contact Cindy Brooks by phone at (828) 261.0861 or by e-mail at This email address is being protected from spambots. Brooks emphasized the technology doesn’t affect the company’s human touch for those customers who prefer direct contact.

“Nothing has changed. We still live answer the phone, trace shipments and answer questions,” Brooks said. “We still value the human connection that sometimes gets lost in today’s technology driven world. We are still just a small family-owned business offering you all the benefits of a big corporation you have grown to expect.”
